U.S. Department of Energy Announces Alexander Hollaender Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for 1996

The Alexander Hollaender Postdoctoral Fellow ship Program was established by the Office of Health and Environmental Research (OHER) in 1986 in memory of the late Dr. Alexander Hollaender. The fellowships are tenable at DOE laboratories having substantial research programs supportive of the OHER mission. This mission is directed at understanding the health and environmental effects associated with energy technologies, and developing and sustaining basic and applied research programs at the frontiers of biomedical and environmental sciences in which DOE has responsibilities or unique capabilities. Two of the six research areas are:

Global Change Research

Applicants must have received a doctoral degree in an appropriate discipline after April 30, 1994, or must complete all such requirements prior to starting the appointment. The starting date must be between May 1 and September 30, 1996. Disciplines appropriate to the fellowship program include those in the life, biomedical, and environmental sciences and other supporting scientific disciplines.
