The pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus disease COVID-19 continues, as well as efforts to contain the spread of the virus. Some NASA facilities have relaxed from Stage 4 of the agency response framework to Stage 3 (there are four stages, with Stage 1 being the lowest response level).1 As mentioned in the previous editorial, some consequences from reduced business activity are significant enough to be observed from space. In that sense, the COVID-19 outbreak has provided a laboratory giving scientists an unprecedented opportunity to research the many changes this unique situation has created.
