EOS Senior Project Scientist

Every two years, NASA’s Earth Science Division (ESD) conducts a Senior Review of missions in (or entering into) extended operations—meaning they have completed their prime operations period1. This past spring, 10 missions took part in the Senior Review: Aqua, Aquarius, Aura, CALIPSO, CloudSat, EO-1, GRACE, OSTM/Jason-2, SORCE, and Terra. The TRMM mission was also in extended operations at the outset of the Senior Review process, however, it was not invited to propose because of its orbital decay following fuel depletion.
